T-ball started off a little rough this spring. Coach Dustin had practice about once a week in Kingsville, which helped, but the first few practices were hard!!!! Cooper didn't want to participate even though he talked about how excited he was about t-ball all week long. We would get to practice and he would shut down. Wouldn't leave our side and wanted us to go out and practice with him. There was also a time where he wouldn't even put his helmet on to hit, therefore he wouldn't get his turn to hit and that was yet another fit thrown on the ball field!!!

| May 2nd - Next practice, Coach Dustin gave Cooper a piggy back ride while they ran their laps during warm ups!! It totally broke the ice with Cooper! We thank Dustin for all of his patience with you Cooper!! Coach Dustin had great words to say to you and he helped you through your time of shyness. This is the practice that you started playing with your team! Mommy was so proud and you couldn't wait to get in the car and call Daddy and Mema and Papa and Aunt Mindy and Grandma and Grandpa Callahan... and the list goes on!! We got ice cream and made our phone calls the whole way home!! |
